About Rosa Kilborn
Rosa Kilborn of Potlatch passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, 24 days shy of her 90th birthday, surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on May 9, 1926, in Midvale, Idaho, to Herbert and Betty Wahl Shaw and was the oldest of three children. She was raised in southern Idaho, where she met her future husband and love of her life, Elmer "Bud" Kilborn, and they were married in May 1943 in Payette, Idaho.
She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking, photography, traveling, making cards on her computer and playing games, as well as gardening and tending her flowers.
She is survived by her sons, Jim of North Pole, Alaska, Galen of Potlatch and Russ (Sandy) of Troy; and daughter Barbara Newton of Medical Lake, Wash.; as well as 14 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Elmer, in 1991; son Larry; grandson Jeff; son-in-law Ray; as well as two brothers.
A memorial service for Rosa will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be sent to the Potlatch Ambulance, P.O. Box 63, Potlatch, ID 83855.
