Rose passed away on December 16, 2008 at the age of 100. Until two weeks before her death she was mentally alert and still read news magazines. She resided at 1142 South Bedford Street in the Crestview neighborhood of Los Angeles, California at the time of her death.

Rose was born in Minsk, Russia on May 9, 1908 and came to the United States three years later. During her life she lived in Sheboygan, Wisconsin, Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Los Angeles. In Milwaukee she and her late husband Harry owned and operated a grocery store for many years.

She was the much cherished mother of Marian and Jerome, grandmother of Howard and Nolan and great-grandmother of Camille and Preston.

The funeral will be held on Sunday, December 21, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Hollywood Forever Cemetery.
