Rose Kaufmann

Marsha´s words: "Dear Claudia, I am not a member of Geni so I am sending what I have for you to add, since you so kindly offered to post it. My grandmother, Fannie Steiner, Edwards's sister, was the second wife of Max Kaufmann. She had come to Chicago to visit her sister, Rose Steiner Kaufmann after her father (also Eduard and Rose's father), passed away. She fell in love with Rose's husband's first cousin Max. So you see , 2 sisters married 2 first cousins. Max's first wife had died either of TB or the flu- we never knew for sure, leaving 2 young children for him to take care of . Fannie and Max married and 2 years later my mother was born. Fannie adored her 2 older children and they felt the same way about her ....
