    • Her father, Philip L. Saltonstall, was born at Chestnut Hill, Massachusetts and was currently residing at Milton.
    • For her current journey she planned to visit France, where she would work for the Y.M.C.A. with Mr. and Mrs. John Craig. She would depart from the Port of New York aboard a ship of the French Lines on 15 February 1918
    • She was 25 years old; was 5-feet, 4-inches tall; had a "rather high" forehead, hazel eyes, a straight nose, a medium mouth, around chin, light-brown hair, a full face, and a fair complexion. A note in her passport application form stated: "Miss Rose Saltonstall has been appointed by the National War Work Council of the Young Men's Christian Association of the United States as an entertainer for service with the American Expeditionary Forces in France and England."
