About Rose V Scheeler

Rose V. Scheeler, 88 of Dickinson will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, February 5, 2005 passed away Tuesday, February 1, 2005 at St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center in Dickinson Burial will follow in the St. Joseph's Cemetery in Dickinson, North Dakota.

She was born June 5, 1916, to Robert and Mary (Kordovsky) Dibelka in Dickinson, North Dakota.

She was raised in Dickinson and after her education in Dickinson schools began her working life as a cashier first at local theaters and then at Quinlan's Cafe in Dickinson. On June 5, 1941, she married Fred Scheeler. The couple made their home in Dickinson. Fred died in 1955 and Rose returned to work as the manager of St. Joseph's School lunchroom from 1957 to 1979. In 1979, she became manager of the Elder Care Meal Site and served in that capacity until 1989. In addition, during this time she was the Recording Secretary and cashier at the German Hungarian Club from 1979 to 1989. She retired in 1989.

Survivors include: two sons and daughters-in-law, Robert and Janeen (Mayer) Scheeler, of Minot, ND, John and Kate (Patterson) Scheeler, also of Minot, ND; and one daughter and son-in-law, Claudia and James Andrus, of Hendersonville, NC; four grandsons, three granddaughters, and four great granddaughters; nieces and nephews; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law.

Rose was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and two sisters, Mary Kubischta and Veronica Granum.
