Funeral services for Rose Haney Holmes, 92, of Athens, will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, August 12, at Spry Funeral Home with Raymond (?) and Chris Kemp officiating. Burial will be in Dement Cemetery.

Mrs. Holmes died Thursday, August 10, at the Athens-Limestone Hospital. She was born August 19, 1907 in Limestone County. She was a member of the Market Street Church of Christ and was a homemaker.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Holmes; two sons, Jimmie Claude Holmes and Wilson Arnold Holmes, and one daughter, Lillian Dean Graham.

She is survived by two sons, Spencer Holmes of Athens and William Roy Holmes of Sheffield; four daughters, Imogene Forsythe of St. Louis, MO, Rosemary Pullin and Jane Heeg, both of Michigan City, Ind., and Wanda Davis of Decatur; 11 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Daughter of James Wesley Haney and Hattie Sarah Barbee Haney.

Married (1) Blair Graham. She married him when she was 14 years old and he was shot while she was pregnant with their only child, Lillian Dean Graham.

Married (2) Roy Holmes. She had children by him, then they divorced. Children: Jimmie Claude Holmes, Wilson Arnold Holmes, Spencer Holmes, William Roy Holmes, Imogene Holmes Forsythe, Rosemary Holmes Pullin and Jane Holmes Heeg.

Married (3) William Polk Tribble and they had one child, Wanda Tribble Davis.
