  • NOTE: When Rosetta was born in Roslyn in 1884, Nassau County, New York did not exist. Nassau was not created until 1899, from the three easternmost towns of Queens County. The westernmost towns of Queens remained part of the county (aka the Borough of Queens, City of Greater New York, which was created in 1898).
  • Rosetta T. Willets and Charles Aubrey Slosson were married on 14 September 1905 in Manhattan, New York County, New York. See The Daily Standard Union, Brooklyn, N.Y., Friday, September 15, 1905, page 7.
  • Rosetta filed for divorce from Charles on 27 November 1912. Charles, an insurance broker in Manhattan, did not contest the divorce, nor were the grounds for the divorce disclosed. The article noted that she and Charles had met at a Halloween party at Sands Point, New York, when Rosetta was 18 years old (ca. 1902).
