Rosina Bittner

Rosina was widowed at least once before she married Emmanuel Bittner in Bessarabia. No names available for Rosinas previous husbands.The Bessarabian Germans were repatriated to Germany in 1940 and after spending much time in refugee camps, Rosina immigrated to Canada in 1949. In the 1950s she lived with her sister Katherine on Kipling Street in Medicine Hat, Alberta. She raised vegetables and sold them at the market. Her obituary in Medicine Hat News gives her Date of Birth as 24 Oct 1880 and that she died at 79 years. The reference book Glückstal Births and Marriages 1833-1900 by Harold M. Ehrman shows Rosina Schilling born 10 Oct 1879 in Glückstal.
