Moved, with parents, to Okotoks, AB in Mar, 1909(from WBSaunders Bible) Was on a drive of horses from Carman to Okotoks, probably in 1910, with his brother Carl, and his father, a horse dealer. Was on a drive of 500 cattle belonging to his father, from Okotoks to Beaver Lodge, near Grande Prairie, probably about 1911. The whole herd was reported frozen to death, and Walter lost his investment. In 1929, he moved to Edmonton to 110 82nd Ave(Whyte Ave) on the South Side. It was then a forested area - he had a vegetable garden a short distance away. Retired in 1957, after 37 years in the grain trade. Buried in Glenwood Memorial Gardens,Edmonton.
