About Roy Robert Autry
Roy was the s/o Delbert & Margaret "Maggie" PATTERSON Autry. The Autry Clan had lived in this area since the early 1860's.
Maggie saw fit to leave Delbert when Roy was just months old, and left him with her widowed mother Mrs. Ann E. Patterson. Roy was listed in the 1910 household of his grandmother who said he was 6.
Roy's obit states that he was raised by his grandmother Wall, but in the 1920 Census she [agge 65] was still a widow. living with her widowed. dau. Daisy CUNNINGHAM Fletcher in Beaver, Cotton Co., OK.
No mention of a wife in his obit, which stated that he d. in a Delano Hospital after being fatally injured in an automobile accident in Famoso. It, also, said he was b. in 1903.
It, further stated, that he had been associated with racing horses for 30 yrs as an exercise man.
