Obituary ROY E. JACOBS, 87, DIED AT MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, MARCH 19 Roy E. Jacobs, a resident of Blair for more than fifty years, died last Sunday, March 19th at Memorial Community Hospital in Blair. He was 87 years of age, having been born in Omaha April 22nd, 1890.

The deceased will be best remembered for his long time connection, as a clerk, at the Arndt Hardware in Blair. But over the years he operated a grocery store, a feed and farm seed store, and was employed at several business establishments of the community.

He was preceded in death by his wife but is survived by six children. There are 23 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.

A son, Virgil Jacobs, resides in Blair. A daughter, Mrs. Harold (Evelyn) Davis and another daughter, Mrs. George (Frances) King, also live in Blair. Other daughters are Mrs. Harvey (Lila) Barger, of Tekamah; Mrs. Ivan (Shirley) Moore, of Omaha and Mrs. Carl (Norma) Helms, of Spokane, Washington.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, March 21st at the Campbell Funeral Home. The Rev. Henry Stolz conducted the services after which burial was made in the Blair Cemetery. Pallbearers were Terry Moore, Kevin Moore, Tim Moore, Stuart Jacobs, Wayne Oloff and Ernie Brennies.
