This is my grandpa, he was married to my grandmaw Anna Mae Dupre. He served the United states army, because of this, I am told, his best friend was killed right next to him, which resulted him to not speak. He spoke very little to me ,only rarely would i hear him talk loud and more than 5 words. "Shell shock" is what they called it. He was a hard worker all his life, being offshore, or running his own trawl boat. He was one of the best vegetable grower I knew. My grandpa died when I was around 30 year's old. My mom and our neighbor, Mr. Richard, both worried that no one seen him leave the house all day and night, walked across the bayou, to find him on the ground. Falling out of his bed, while have a heartache or stroke, he was immobile a week later he couldn't be with us any longer.
