About Ruby Maybell Baker
Mrs. Ruby Kicklighter Baker, 81, died Saturday in the Evans Memorial Hospital in Claxton after a short illness.
The Tattnall County native was a member of Love’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are seven daughters, Mrs. Warnell B. Roberts, Swainsboro, Mrs. Bonnie Akins, Hollywood, Fla., Mrs. Myrtle Ray, Glennville, Mrs. Monice Arnold, Savannah, Mrs. Jackie O’Neal, Hinesville, Mrs. Nancile Nease, Fernandina Beach, Fla., and Mrs. Anglyn Anderson, Reidsville; four sons, J.D. Baker and Earl Baker, both of Mendes, Herbert Baker, Milledgeville, and Jerrel Baker, Glennville; two sisters, Mrs. Mattie Lou Mangum, Glennville and Mrs. Winifred Ward, Tampa; one brother, Dewey Kicklighter, Blackshear; 34 grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Baker were held Monday, 2 P.M. at Love’s Chapel Primitive Baptist Church conducted by Elder Paul Thomas and Elder W.H. Durrence. Burial was in the church cemetery.
Pallbearers were grandsons of Mrs. Baker.
Rimes Mortuary was in charge of arrangements.
