Miss Ruby C. Langston
CLINTON - Miss Ruby C. Langston, 88, of Northside Drive Extension died Saturday at her home. Services are 11 a.m. Tuesday at Wright & Ferguson Funeral Home chapel with burial in Lakewood Memorial Park.
Miss Langston, a native of Jeff Davis County, was a graduate of the public schools and Mississippi Woman's College (now William Carey College). She had been living near here since 1924, where she taught in the Hinds County School System until her retirement in 1960.
She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Clinton, the Clinton Chapter of Retired Persons, the National Retired Teachers Association and the Clinton Homemakers Club.
She is survived by her brothers, George B. Langston of Lexington, Ky., Dalco O. Langston of Ashville, Ala., Lelan L. Langston of Jackson and Morgan D. Langston of Oxford; sisters, Mrs. Taft (Nettie) Smith of Winnsboro, La., Mrs. L. B. (Anabel) Fortenberry of Mendenhall, Mrs. M. L. (Hazel) Hemphill of Clinton; and 29 nieces and nephews.
