Ruby S. Pritchett
Ruby S. Pritchett, 86, of Spotsylvania County died peacefully Monday, Dec. 17, 2012, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Judy, where she had resided for the past several years.
Mrs. Pritchett was a devout Christian and an active member of Goshen Baptist Church. She was a loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She retired from the FMC plant after working there from 1944 to 1976. Later, she retired from the Spotsylvania County Treasurer's Office after working there from 1978 to 1998.
Mrs. Pritchett was the widow of Horace Lee Pritchett. She was also preceded in death by a grandson, Keith Pritchett; and two brothers, Charlie Seay and Wilson Seay.
Survivors include her sons, Dennis L. Pritchett and wife Diane of Surfside Beach, S.C., and Larry K. Pritchett and wife Judy of Spotsylvania; five grandchildren, Melissa Daniels and husband Ron of Locust Grove, Jodi Reeves of Surfside Beach, S.C., Cale Pritchett and wife Christina of Ashburn, Dustin Pritchett of Spotsylvania and Travis Pritchett and wife Ashley of Murrells Inlet, S.C.; nine great-grandchildren, Brett Pritchett, Ashley Pritchett, Courtney Daniels, Ryan Daniels, Matthew Reeves, Jessica Reeves, Landon Pritchett, Tyler Pritchett and Peyton Pritchett; three brothers, Clifton Seay and Scott Seay, both of Stafford County, and Douglas Seay of Spotsylvania; sister Elizabeth Hall of Spotsylvania; and numerous nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 20, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg.
A service will be held at noon Friday, Dec. 21, at the funeral home, with the Rev. John Gordon and the Rev. Will Dodson officiating. Interment will follow in Sunset Memorial Gardens.
Pallbearers will be Cale Pritchett, Travis Pritchett, Hal Seay, Jerry Seay, Thomas Oesterheld and G.W. Dickinson.
