Ruby Pearl Richardson

There is a longish article in docs re Ruby Pearl and a car accident in 1934. In 1934, Ruby seems to be living with Samuel John Frankom, market gardener, and his wife, Lavinia Maud, from whose home she will marry in 1838.

THE FRANKOM CONNECTION Samuel John Frankom b.1879 (or 1884?), Hawthorn Vic to Thomas William Frankom and Mary Ann Ryan #16812, d. 24 Aug 1944 at Williamstown?, and is buried at Burwood Cemetery, with Lavinia Maud Frankom d 4 Oct 1962, and Rene Brown d. 5 Aug 2002. He possibly had a cousin, Ann b1863 at Hawthorn to Samuel and Mary Whitfield. Samuel John Frankom married Lavinia Maud McDonald 1907, #5591, who is sister to Ruby Pearl's mother.

This suggests that Ruby, her mother and sister were possibly supported by the Frankom family during John Richardson's defection, and that Ruby stayed with them.

MARRIAGE Ruby Pearl Richardson married Herbert George Simmonds, Vic in 1938. The Age, 23 April 1938 RUBY RICHARDSON, niece of Mr. and Mrs. S. J. Frankcom, of "Kingston," Essex-road, Burwood, whose marriage to Herbert George Slmmonds, only son of Mr. and Mrs. H. Slmmonds, of Kangaroo-road, Oakleigh, will take place at the Methodist Church, Camberwell. This article with photograph is in docs.

DEATH & BURIAL Ruby Pearl Simmonds, widow, died 15 Sept 1989 at Noble Park.

1946 Electoral Roll shows: Herbert George Simmonds, carpenter, at 6A Latrobe Street, Oakleigh, with Ruby Pearl Simmonds, home duties.

Lots of Simmonds in Oakleigh in 1946, but Ruby and Herbert seem not to have children with them.
