Ruby Juanita Waugh

BUCKHANNON — Ruby J. Waugh, age 94, of Rt. 3, Box 344 H, Buckhannon, WV, died Thursday, February 23, 2006, at Crestview Manor in Jane Lew, WV.

She was born January 29, 1912, in French Creek, WV, a daughter of the late Robert W. Hamner and Myrtle Burr Hamner.

She was preceded in death on Aug. 29, 2004, by her husband, Norman F. Waugh, whom she married Jan. 12, 1929.

Mrs. Waugh is survived by two grandsons, Robert Waugh of Weston, WV, and Mark Waugh of Columbus, OH; one granddaughter, Cheryl Steele of Columbus, OH; three great-grandsons, Jeff Waugh of Lavalette, WV, Chris Waugh of Chicago, IL, and Taylor Steele of Columbus, OH; three great-granddaughters, Andrea Waugh, Haley Waugh and Madison Waugh, all of Columbus, OH; two great-great-granddaughters, Dulaney Waugh and Cassidy Waugh, both of Lavalette, WV; and one sister, Maxine Strader of Buckhannon, WV.

In addition to her husband and her parents, she was preceded in death by one son, Robert H. Waugh Sr.

Mrs. Waugh was a self-employed beautician. She was a member of the Reger Chapel United Methodist Church, the Brushy Fork Extension Homemakers Club and a lifetime member of the Fern Rebekah Lodge.

Friends will be received Saturday, February 25, 2006, from noon until 2 p.m. at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home, where funeral services will be held Saturday, February 25, 2006, at 2 p.m. Rev. Clifford West will officiate. Interment will be in the Weston Masonic Cemetery in Weston, WV.
