Rudolph "Rudi" Harris (1952 - 2007)

Brief overview:

Rudi (55), from Robertson, WC, was shot dead when a gang of men entered his home in Marloth Park, near Komatipoort, bordering the Kruger National Park, on 1st December 2007. Harris wrestled with one of the perpetrators, and one of his accomplices shot him with an AK47, he died instantly.

Seven suspects were arrested in connection with Harris's murder by the Mpumalanga police's tracking unit, Captain Leonard Hlathi said. Four of the suspects, aged between 18 and 26, are from Komatipoort and allegedly appeared in the Komatipoort Periodical Court. .
