Rula Katonis (1934 - 2001)
Brief overview:
Rula (67), and her husband Nicholas Katonis (78), were found in a ditch on their smallholding in Muldersdrift on 12th December 2001. There were burnt out tyres on top of the bodies as well as cement blocks. A car bonnet was put on top of everything as well as branches. It seemed that the couple had been overpowered at the gate to the smallholding. Their motorcar was gone, but nothing else was stolen.

- Four people were arrested West Rand police said on Sunday. The domestic worker of the elderly couple, and her son were among those arrested in connection with the murder, said Captain Paula Nothnagel. She said a firearm was confiscated on Friday when another two suspects were arrested.
