Russell's father was Emanuel Rash worked on the Henrey Smith ranch in Kansas as a rancher,and mother was Maratha Woughten Rash both from Iowa. Russell was a citizen of Kansas. Russell had one brother. At the age of 89 years old accepted Christ as his Saviour on 5-5-1975 and was baptized in the bathtub at the Folsom Con.hospital on 12-18-1975. He was 93 when he passed away. His mother died when he was about 10 years old, his dad went to town and married again, They packed up to move again in a covered wagon, Russell did not want to stay with them, so he jumped out of the back of the wagon and ran off through the fields, He worked on ranch's until he got grown, then worked for the railroad most of the time, married Mable and had 3 children in OR. Had 2 son's 1.Dewayne,2.nickname Micky and daughter Ethel. Divorced and married again to Clara Marion Eggleston Collier from Col. They lived in Glenns Fairey, Idaho. and had one baby girl, Colleen Rash Serlock, Froke. Came to CA and lived on White Rock RD behind Aerojet Plant on Clara's son Harold and wife Eva's place, then moved to Brownsvalley, CA. and retired working part time on a ranch there, before moving again to Inwood RD, Folsom, CA. behind Clara's son Marvin's home. This was the time his son Dewayne came to see him bringing his bedroll and told us, if he had to camp out and sleep on the floor of the hospital room where his dad was, Russell was going to accept Jesus as his Saviour, and he did. Dewayne did'nt have to sleep on the floor, as he came back 3 hours later. He was sure happy about his dad's decision too.
Note: I wonder if the name Mable given above for his first wife is a mistake, and the name should be Gladys Ethel Sisson Rash.
