Russell N. Shaffer, 72, of Lawrenceville died Sunday.

The funeral will be 1 p.m. Wednesday at Wages & Sons Gwinnett Chapel, Lawrenceville Burial will be in Gwinnett Memorial Park, Lawrenceville.

The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.

Mr. Shaffer was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran. He retired from AT&T after 33 years of service.

Survivors include his wife, Anna M. Shaffer; two daughters, Charlotte R. VanDevander of Snellville, and Leesa M. Wagener of Suwanee; three siblings, Glenn Shaffer of St. Cloud, Fla., Shirley Vincent of Flemington, W.Va., and Agnes Wolfe of Baltimore; and six grandchildren.
