About Ruth M. Blake

Ruth Blake is the sister of Gen. Henry Deaborn, born on Feb. 23, 1751 in North Hampton New Hampshire and died Jun. 6, 1829 Roxbury Massachusetts. On some websites, Ruth is acknowledged only as an unnamed sister of Henry's. This information seems to be wrong. Gravestones and records in Monmouth, Maine clearly substantiate that she was the wife of Phineas Blake, Sr. (They share a grave stone there) and they are the parents of Phineas Blake, Jr.
