Not the wife of Captain Samuel Mayo
Son of Giles Hopkins and grandson of Stephen Hopkins who were passengers on the Mayflower in 1620.
Biography
https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Hopkins-3055
Ruth Hopkins was born in June 1653 in Eastham, Plymouth Colony, the daughter of Giles and Catherine (Whelden) Hopkins.[1][2] It has been suggested that she was the wife of Samuel Mayo, but no proof has been found.[2][3] In the 2014 Mayflower Families volume on Elder William Brewster it is indicated that the name of Samuel Mayo's first wife is completely unknown.[4]
It is important to note that Giles Hopkins' will in 1682 and a codicil dated in 1688/9, which was probated in 1690, do not mention any daughters, but at least two of them were living and had offspring at the time his will was written.[5][6]
Descendant of Mayflower passengers Giles Hopkins, and Stephen and Elizabeth Hopkins

June, 1653, three years after Bradford wrote. I find no account of her death, and no report of her marriage. And though I find no record or established proof of her marriage, I see no reason or proof to the contrary. Job Winslow, we know, married a Ruth. Can any one say her last name was not Hopkins?."
