Ruth Helen was born Nov. 4, 1927 in Blair to Leonard T.P. and Helen E. (Antill) Munk.

Ruth was raised in Blair and graduated from Blair High School in 1945. After high school she attended Business School in Omaha.

In 1947 she was united to Hollis "Ray" Plucar at First Lutheran Church in Blair. The couple lived primarily in Texas and Louisiana.

Ruth did oil painting, water colors, and charcoal sketches. She particularly liked pink roses.

She and Ray enjoyed camping trips and attending dances together.

For the last 6 months Ruth resided at Good Shepherd Home in Blair.

Ruth Helen Plucar, 86, of Blair died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2014, at Immanuel Medical Center in Omaha.

She is survived by her step-daughter, Cheri (James) Dunham of Round Rock, TX, 3 grandsons, 5 great-grandchildren, brother, Norman Munk of Broomfield, CO, sister, Virginia Faltys of Waterville, OH, sister-in-law, Barbara (Ervin) Wulf of Fremont, NE, 7 nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Ray, brother Melvin, brother-in-law, Robert Faltys, sister-in-law, Maxine Munk, nephew, Steven Munk, and one niece, Rhonda Kiddes.

Visitation will be Tuesday beginning at 2 pm with family receiving friends at the Campbell-Aman funeral home from 6-8 pm. Services will be 11 am Wednesday, August 20, at the Good Shepherd Lutheran Community Chapel in Blair. Pastor Amy Krejcarek will offer words of comfort. Taylor Wewel is the soloist, singing "In The Garden", and the congregation will sing "The Old Rugged Cross". Pallbearers are: Tom Munk, Steven Faltys, Matt Faltys, Dan Wulf, Matt Wewel, Drew Stull, and Ervin Wulf. Interment will follow in the Blair Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to Good Shepherd Lutheran Community.
