Ruth M Spitzack

Ruth M. (Mrs. Harold) Spitzack, 88, of Faribault, died Saturday, Sept. 2, 2000 at District One Hospital, Faribault. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault, with the Rev. Robert E. Snyder officiating. Interment will be at Maple Lawn Cemetery, Faribault. Visitation is scheduled from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday at the Boldt Funeral Home, Faribault, and at the church Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Ruth M., the daughter of John and Bertha (Ahlman) Cross, was born June 23, 1912, in Faribault. She attended school in Faribault and Sandstone. She married Harold H. Spitzack on Aug. 2, 1930, at Trinity Lutheran Church, Faribault. He preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 1993. She worked at Andrews Nursery and Farmer Seed for many years. In later years, she worked at the Faribault Regional Center as the dining hall supervisor until she retired in 1974. She is survived by one son, Harold J. "Sarge" Spritzack (and special friend, Jeanette Baan-Hofman) of Watertown, S.D.; one daughter, Bonnie (and Robert) Reineke of Faribault; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchilddren; one great-great-grandson; one sister, Ruby Waskosky of Faribault; two brothers, Smoky (and Betty) Cross and Joe (and Sylva) Cross, all of Faribault; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Harold; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Spitzack; one great-granddaughter; two brothers, Harry and Jack Cross; one sister, in infancy; one sister-in-law, Mae Cross; and one brother-in-law, Henry Waskosky.
