Ruth Esther Temple Topolovec, 78, died June 27, 1997 in Price, Utah. She was born May 22, 1919 in Pueblo, Colorado, to Harold K. and Dora Birch Temple Harris. She married Henry John Topolovec Oct. 31, 1938, in Salt Lake City, later divorced. Ruth was owner and operator of Harris Style Shop. She was a member of the Carbon County Historical Society and Chamber of Commerce. She was active in the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and was a member of the Sorosis Club where she served as vice president for a time. She was an enthusiastic patron of community activities.
She is survived by her daughter, Billie Jean Topolovec Blackham; grandsons and their wives, Calvin Frank and Jennifer Blackham, John Ryan and Melisa Bunderson Blackham; sisters, Louise Temple Behling, Callie D. Harris McMurdie and Willa Caldwell and numerous nieces and nephews. She was dearly loved and will be deeply missed by her family and the many friends she leaves behind. Graveside services will be held Sat., June 28, 1997 at 2 p.m. in the Price City Cemetery under the direction of Fausett Mortuary. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to Helper Mining Museum or to the CEU Museum
