Ruth Virginia Waugh

Ruth Virginia Waugh, 98, of Clearwater, died Monday, Feb. 8, 2010, at Clearwater Retirement Center.

She was born Feb. 6, 1912, in Renfro, Okla., to Jacob and Myra Henshaw White.

On April 25, 1936, she married Carl Waugh in Rogers, Ark. He died July 29, 1976. She also was preceded in death by her parents, a sister and three brothers.

A former resident of rural Wellington, Mrs. Waugh was a retired registered nurse and a farmer's wife.

Survivors include her children, Virginia Kepley of Ulysses, Carl "Ray" Waugh Jr. of Wellington, Julia Starling of Derby, and Sheila Zimmerman of Belle Plaine; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

Funeral was at Day Funeral Home, 1030 Mission Road in Wellington. Burial was at Prairie Lawn Cemetery in Wellington.
