Sadie Anna Ratzlaff

Sadie A. Ratzlaff, 92, peacefully passed away Aug. 18, 2012, at the Moundridge Manor.

She was born Nov. 9, 1919, in McPherson County to David and Dena (Nightingale) Schmidt. She was a homemaker. She married Martin Ratzlaff Sept. 25, 1938, at Galva. He died April 10, 1987.

Survivors include a son, Charles J. (Rebecca) Ratzlaff, Canton; daughter, Donna J. (Leonard) Jantz, Atwater, Calif.; seven brothers, Chester Schmidt of Canton, Allen Dean Schmidt of Topeka, Kermit Schmidt of McPherson, Howard Schmidt of McPherson, Orman Schmidt of McPherson, Beauford Schmidt of Galva and Norman Schmidt of Galva; three sisters, Madeline Jantz of Galva, Ada Koehn of Burns and Roselen Schmidt of Galva; seven grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Lone Tree Church of God in Christ, Mennonite, rural Galva. Visitation will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, with the family present from 6:30 until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
