Capital Times April 10, 1952:

Deerfield Man Dies of Auto Crash Injuries

S. Adolph Hage, 48, Route 2, Deerfield, died in a hospital here today of injuries received Saturday in a traffic accident near Nora. Mr. Hagen's death brought to seven the number of persons killed in traffic accidents in Dane County, outside of madison, this year.

Hagen's car was involved ina head-on collision with a car driven by Charles W. Flassig, 44, Chicago. Flassig and a passenger in his car, Mrss Martha Gorman, 45, Chicago, were injured. Flassig left Methodist Hospital Monday and Miss Gorman was slated for discharge from the hospital today.

Acting Coroner Samuel Morris is investigating to determine whether an inquest will be held. After the accidnet, County Traffic Officers George Hughey and Joseph McCarthy reported Hagen apparently pulled out of his lane to passa car and met the Flassig car head-on.

Injuries Fatal to Deerfield Man

DEERFIELD, Wis. - S. Adolph Hage, 48, of Route 2, died Thursday in a Madison hospital as the result of injuries suffered in a traffic accident last Saturday west of Cambridge. His death was the ninth traffic fatality in Dane Cuonty since Jan. 1. Acting Coroner Samuel Morris said no inquest would be held.

County police indicated the accident occurred when Hagen attempted to pass another car and crashed into one driven by Charles W. Flassig, 44, Chicago. Flassig and a passenger Martha Gorman, also of Chicago, were injured in the crash.

Mr. Hagen's wife and children survive him. His body was brought to the Schulz Funeral Home, Deerfield where friends may call after 3 Saturday. Funeral arranements have not been completed.

Hagen Rites Will Be Held Monday DEERFIELD, Wis. - Funeral services for S. Adolph Hage, 48, Deerfield, who died Thursday at a Madison hospital, will be held at 2 Monday at the Deerfield Lutheran church. The Rev. E. J. Tetlie, pastor, will officiate.

Friends may call at the Schulz Funeral Home, Deerfield today.

Mr. Hagen is survived by his wife, three daughters, Arlene, Janet, and Shirley, and one son, Gerald, all at home; his father, Gilbert Hagen, Deerfield; two brothers, Palmer, Stoughton, and Earl, Superior, and one sister, Mrs. Russell Berge, Deerfield.
