About Sally Love
Thomas had two wives; his first wife was Sally Colbert, half-Chickasaw, daughter of James Logan Colbert. His second wife was also Chickasaw with a little french, named Emahota. Following the Chickasaw tradition of the husband becoming a member of the wife's family, he became a member of the house if In-cun-no-mar. Thomas fathered eight sons and five daughters.
When Sally "House of In-cun-no-Mar" Colbert was born in 1750 in Chickasaw, Alabama, her father, James, was 29 and her mother, Nahettaly, was 30. She married Thomas Love in 1782 in Mississippi. They had seven children in 22 years. She died in 1809 at the age of 59.
