Salvatore Rizzo was born on August 17, 1916 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States and was baptized on August 27, 1916 in St Philip Benizi. His parents were Salvatore Rizzo and Carmella Rizzo (Romano). He was the fifth son born to them, but the earlier Salvatore had died so it appears that he was named Salvatore in place of him after their father. It is interesting that they did not name Victor after their the father Salvatore.
Salvatore married Marian Anna Rizzo (Schenkel). Together they had the following children: Salvatore Rizzo; Doreen Elizabeth Rizzo; Daniel Joseph Rizzo.
He died on August 15, 2009 in Chicago, Cook County, Illinois, United States and was buried in St Joseph Cemetery & Mausoleums (Section AA, Lot 7, Block 6), River Grove, Cook County, Illinois, United States.
