Added 5-12-2012 My Father, Carlos Rodgers, told me that when he was a small boy he had gotten a BB gun for Christmas. He was visiting Papa Rogers and saw that he was feeding the chickens. Papa Rogers always carried the bucket of chicken feed in the crook of his arm while he threw the fed with the other. Dad told me that he aimed his BB gun at the bucket and fired from a distance. The bucket made a louder (ting) than he thought it would and Papa Rogers knew immediately what had happened. Dad said this was one of many spankings he got. Tommy K.
