Samuel Allen (1706-1755) was born in Northampton. He married Hannah Miller on July 1, 1730, in their hometown. They had eight children during their marriage. He died on August 26, 1755, in Berkshire, Massachusetts, at the age of 49, and his tombstone was found in New Marlborough, Massachusetts. It features a crude engraving of an angel.
