S. M. Baggett Pine Bluff Commercial
S. M. Baggett, 74, Cleveland county farmer who was born at Redfield, Jefferson county, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Bonnie Rogers at Rison.
Funeral services were to be held this afternoon at 3 o'clock at Moore's church cemetery, conducted by the Rev. George Moddy, pastor of the Bethel church near Rison, with burial in charge of Rufus T Buie mortuary, of Rison.
Pallbearers: P. N. Smith, Joe Jaggers, Horace Jaggers, Charley Martin, Charley Harbey , N. D. Moody, and W. L. Moody.
Mr. Baggett, who is survived by 11 children, 36 grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, was born at Redfield but has spent the greater portion of his life in Cleveland County near Rison where he engaged in farming. He had many Friends in that section of the State.
In addition to his daughter, Mrs. Roger, he is survived by seven other daughters, Mrs. Fred Hobson, of Oklahoma; Mrs. Hugh Rogers, Pine Bluff; Mrs. Ruth Hartfield, Lake Village; Mrs. George Ashcraft, Orange, Tex.; Mrs. Ralph Nichols, Peely, Tex; Mrs. Paul Jones, of Ida, LA, and Mrs. C. R.
