Johanna Barnes Brown died before 1764 as she is noted in her father’s will as deceased.

Son Nathaniel Brown b. 31 May 1739 in Barrington, R.I.; mar. Lucy Russell in Washington, CT on 5 Nov 1765 (desc. in CT); and d. in Washington, CT on 12 Nov 1827.

Will of Samuel Barnes written 23 Feb 1764 in Warren, Bristol Co, RI--Just debts and funeral expenses paid by Executor; contract made between wife Rebeccah before marriage be fulfilled and she is to receive riding beast; bequeath to children of late dau. Johannah Brown wife of Hezekiah Brown dec’d: Asa Brown 10 £, William Brown 10£, Nathaniel Brown 10£, and to Keziah Viall the wife of Benjamin Viall 10£; bequeath to 2 great grandchildren, children of grandson Jabez Brown, dec’d: Rebeccah Brown and Rachel Brown 10£ to be equally divided between them; bequeath to dau. Keziah Peck the wife of Solomon Peck one half of household goods and indoor moveables; to dau. Eunice Hunt the other half of household goods and indoor moveables and the 2 daus. Keziah and Eunice may divide all household goods and indoor moveables between them; bequeath to son Thomas Barns all wearing apparel together with outdoor husbandery utensils and with what has already been done for him it is judged his full part of estate; and lastly ordain son-in-law Solomon Peck of Warren the sole Executor. Witnesses: Aaron Kingsley, Samuel Allen and Solomon Townsend. Will brought into court by Executor Solomon Peck on 5 Feb 1776. Attested: Solomon Townsend. Recorded Book No. 1, p. 95.
