Samuel Leigh Heatley Binns

At Lucea Hanover Jamaica on the 9th Sept Samuel Leigh Heatley Binns Esq aged 34 died. Mr Binns was the youngest son of James Kitelee Binns Esq of Bean's Estate and Ware Park in Hanover Jam uca and was a lineal descendant of the Haughtons of Haughton Town in Lancashire and the Leighs now Traffords of Outrington Hall Cheshire a family that dates its origin from the Conquest He was also brother to Dr Binns the author of The Anatomy of Steep and some other works Few deaths have produced so great a sensation as that of Mr Binns in the parish of which he was so distinguished an ornament He was liberal in his expenditure just in his dealings and a friend to the distressed His loss will be long felt in Hanover where he was born lived and died.
