About Samuel Logan Cole
Son of William Temple and Hannah (Allison) Cole.
His mother is known as one of the pioneering women of Missouri. As young Samuel's family was heading west from Virginia, his father was killed by a small band of Native Americans.
This left his mother to find a suitable place to raise their children. She helped found the town of Booneville, Missouri.
