Samuel Davis was born abt. 1647 in Southampton. He died abt. 1695 at Jamaica, Queens.

Long Island Surnames, citing Suffolk records, indicates a wife "Mary ______". No further information found to date.

He married Mary ___, who survived him and signs a land record in 1696 citing Samuel Davis, late of Jamaica. Their children are:

1. Jonathan Davis, b. 15 May 1675; m. Elizabeth b. 1 May 1675; preacher at Trenton, NJ in 1695.
2. Samuel Davis
3. Elnathan Davis, living in Trenton, NJ 1695 Fulke's son Jonathan (Samuel's uncle) died early 1674, and is likely the reason Samuel's first born son is named Jonathan.

Will of Samuel Davis

Deed, dtd January 14, 1729: "Samuel Davis of Brookhaven,
blacksmith, to his son Samuel Davis of the same town..."conveys
"the half of my hom lot the north sied the leangth runing est
and west and half the breth runing north and south lying and
being situated in the township of brookhaven at stoney broock
being bounded south by his brother OBEDIAH DAVIS land and West
by the highway and east by the land of JOSEPH LONGBOTTOM and
north by JOSEPH BLINBEORS land and all my land at the West
Division being situated in the township of brookhaven at a
certain plaes near stoney broock being bounded north by WILLIAM
HALLOCK and south by ELAZER HAWKENS land and West by Smithtownd
land and East by his brother JOSEPH DAVIS land and a quarter of
a riet of comonegs and half of a island of meado or thach being
in the towndship of smithtownd in stone broock harbor near the
harbor mouth.". Witnesses: Benjamin Smith and Daniel Davis
(prob. his brother Daniel).
