About Samuel Felshaw
Samuel Felshaw was a sergeant in Captain Crosby's company during the American Revolutionary War. Felshaw was the son of Captain John Felshaw, "who kept a noted tavern in Killingly, and was long prominent in town and public affairs," and "died leaving a large landed estate to be divided among his children. The tavern became the property of his son, Samuel Felshaw."
