About Samuel Forward, Jr.
Deborah Moore was the daughter of Sarah Phelps and Andrew Moore. She was born 31 May 1676 in Simsbury, Connecticut, and married Samuel Forward (p 98). They married abut 1700; he was the son of Samuel Forward, and was born in Windsor, Connecticut 23 Jul 1671. SHe died in Belchertown, Massachusetts 27 Aug 1734. Mr. Forward first settled in Simsbury, Connecticut, where the births of some of his children are recorded. He moved from there to Belchertown, Massachusetts, where he died 3 May 1738 (p 115).
Their children were:
- Samuel born in Simsbury 2 Aug 1703. He died unmarried 29 Jul 1762;
- James born in Simsbury 10 Nov 1707, a tanner by trade. He settled in Suffield and Simsbury;
- Abel was born in Belchertown 4 Nov 1710 and married Hannah Phelps No. 370 in the book; more information can be found about their family; *Deborah born 6 Apr 1713 died 2 Aug 1730. She married a Mr. Winchel;
- Rachel born 3 Apr 1715; and
- John born 29 Apr 1717. He died 24 Apr 1738 (p 115).
