"Forest City Old Resident Dead.

Samuel Hamilton, one of the long time residents of Forest City, died at his home from old age and dropsy on Thursday last, January 22, 1914.

Deceased was a native of Ireland. He was born Sept. 30, 1831. At the age of 21 he came to America, living for some years in Michigan, coming to Meeker county over 30 years ago. His wife died some years since. Surviving him are four sons and three daughters. The former are William of Litchfield, Thomas of Port Williams, Wash., and John and Robert of Forest City. The daughters are Mrs. Edson Watkins, Mrs. Fred Valiedt [Valiant] and Mrs. Fred Pankake, all of Forest City.

The funeral took place Saturday, with services at Forest City by Rev. U. G. Lacey. The remains were interred in the Forest City cemetery."
