In the name of God Amen. I Samuel Johnson of Eleuthera, Planter being at present sick and weak of body but of a sound and disposing mind, memory and understanding, considering the uncertainty of human life do hereby make this my Last Will and Testament as follows to with:-

First, I leave one Negro Man by the name of Frank for the support of my three youngest children until of Age viz: Ann Johnson, Frederick Robert Johnson and John Henry Johnson and for my beloved wife to receive the wages of the same for that purpose, the remaining part of my property I give to my beloved wife Mary Johnson, One third both real and personal and the other Two thirds to be equally divided between my loving children, that is to say, Samuel Johnson, Elizabeth H. Sweeting, George Johnson, Mary Ann Johnson, Thomas Johnson, William Johnson, Ann Johnson, Frederick Robert Johnson and John Henry Johnson, each share and share alike and what property may be coming to my three loving children viz: Elizabeth H. Sweeting, Mary Ann Johnson and Ann Johnson, shall at their death go to the issue of their body and incase of no issue the said property shall be equally divided among my surviving children and it is my Will and Desire that two thirds of the land shall remain undivided until the youngest child be of Age and at the same time all my children above named shall work on the lands with their Negroes, except the Pine Lands which one child shall not cultivate more than another; and it is my Will as soon as my youngest child becomes of Age that the above named Negro Frank shall be equally divided among my surviving children.

I do appoint my loving son Thomas Johnson to be guardian of my three youngest children viz: Ann Johnson, Frederick Robert Johnson and John Henry Johnson until they be of Age or married.

I do appoint my loving son Samuel Johnson and Joseph Sears Johnson of Eleuthera, Planter my sole executors of this my Last Will and Testament, hereby revoking all former Will and Wills by me heretofore made. In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the fifteenth day of June in the year of Our Lord One thousand eight hundred and twenty-two and in the Third year of his Majesty?s Reign.
