Samuel Jones - Celia Creech Genealogy Page Thanks Tim-Brenda Jones. There's no question about Samuel marrying Celia. I would suggest, though, that we not adopt the middle name of Chandler because it can't be proven from the oldest records and letters in the family. And as far as having an occupation of "chandler", Samuel didn't have that occupation. It's clear that he was a farmer (and apparently a fairly wealthy one at that). So I would recommend removing any reference to Chandler or Lancaster County from any genealogy boards until it's clear that we have incontrovertible proof that this was fact from older records.
