III John Calvin Laird
2 Samuel McKee Laird, b Feb. 23, 1840, was educated at Highland Bell classical school and Washington College, Va. He was a member of Company C, 1st. Virginia Cavalry, Confederate army, and was killed in battle, at Pole Green Church, Va, May 28, 1864.
