Life Sketch
Samuel E. McClellan was a builder. He constructed many homes and church building in Mexico. Sam was called upon to draw plans and build the new Colonia Juarez academy which was finished in 1903. He also built the wagon bridge and the swinging bridge in Colonia Juarez, buildings in Colonia Dublan and worked on the Hacienda in Old Casas.
He was a builder on the first Chapel in El Paso, TX. His home has been torn down, but it was a beautiful home with a wide curved stair case that went to the second floor up stairs. Bertha Maria Lewis I was born in Panguitch, Utah April 5, 1875. My father was Samuel Lewis and my mother was Sarah Jane Huntsman.
One of my earliest memories is of a ducking I got in the river in Panguitch. Vira (Sara A history compiled from MANY drafts written by Ruth McClellan and a couple by Ashton Ashton’s history is taken from a couple of histories written by Ruth and Ashton and our memories.
