Samuel McCulloch, II

Listed on the Brown County,, Ohio tax list for 1818/1819. Several members of the Leonard family are also listed so must have moved to Brown County,, about the same time. They are Lenord, Aaron, Moses, and John; other Leonards appear in near-by counties in Ohio. The name Marsh also appears. Samuel's son John Leonard married a Marsh.

Samuel appears on the 1817 and 1820 Census at Brown County,, Ohio and the 1840 Census for Cass County,, Indiana. He is also believed to have lived in Highland County,, Ohio, and Delaware, Clinton and Tippecanoe Counties, Indiana.

Samuel is presumed to have lived in Delaware County,, Indiana because of Court Records found there. His son John Leonard lived there for some time and some of John's children were married from there.

Mary may be the Mary McCulloch listed on the 1860 Census for Tippecanoe County,, Indiana as age 67. The age isn't quite right but is close enough for government work.
