OBITUARY - Plain Dealer, Wabash (IN)

Samuel Moore, 84 years old, 382 Smith Street, an ordained minister of the Pilgrim Holiness Church of Wabash, died in the Wabash County Hospital Saturday morning at 10 o'clock after an illness of 5 months and 10 days.

A life resident of the city and county, Mr. Moore operated a shoe repair shop here.

He was born in Wabash County on Jan. 13, 1864 the son of Philip and Mary Ann (Sloop) Moore. He was married to Sarah Catherine Hoover on Nov. 29, 1885. She died Nov. 20, 1924. On Nov. 28, 1928 his marriage to Lillie E. Foust took place. She survives.

Additional survivors include the following sons and daughters: Mrs. Peter Yorg, Roann, Mrs. Howard Coon, Wabash, William Moore, Toppenish, Wash., Mrs. Carl Lower, Wabash, Charles Moore, Frederickstown, O., Harry, Peru, and Mrs. Ira Heilman, this city; half-sisters, Mrs. Arthur Hobson, Logansport, Miss Maggie Kniely, North Manchester and Mrs. Anna Palmer, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and 31 grandchildren and 40 great-grandchildren.

The body was taken to the Hoover-Miner Funeral Home where friends may call. Funeral services will be held in the Pilgrim Holiness Church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o'clock with the Rev. W.B. Fugett, New Castle, the Rev. Lee Goins, Elwood, the Rev. R.C. Richardson, Royal Center and the Rev. J.L. Arnett, this city, officiating.
