He married (1) SARAH KERR Abt. 1744 in York Co (now Adams), PA. She was born Abt. 1723, and died Abt. 1748 in York Co (now Adams), PA. He married (2) JEAN Abt. 1750 in Pennsylvania. Furnished by Moses' grand daughter, Mrs. Pluvia Dillee of York Springs, PA to Miss Isabelle Neely of Parsons KS who sent material to Mrs. Orly Neely of South Bend, IN. Compiler, Betty McIntyre, received the list from Mrs. Orly Neely in 1980. This information filed with "Family History" on 12 November, 1991.

Notes for SARAH KERR: The will of John Kerr, written in 1786, Berwick Twp, York Co, PA leaves "an equal share of the residue of my estate to my nephew, Thomas Neely, the only son of my sister, Sarah, former wife of Samuel Neely deceased." So, Sarah Kerr was Samuel Neely's first wife and the mother of Thomas Neely, born September 15, 1745. She was also probably the mother of Agnes, born Febrauary 15, 1747, who became the wife of James Carothers. The third child of Samuel was John Neely, born January 31, 1751, which means it is likely that Sarah died sometime following the birth of Agnes and Samuel married Jean about 1750.
