About Samuel B. Page

Middle name may be Belmont or Belfont or Belfort or Billfield? Orphaned, fostered, ??? From where does the Page name originate?

There is a typo on his death record. There is no Alkne Road in Ohio... Alkire Road was transcribed incorrectly as Alkne.

The 1940 U.S. Census (in which Sam and Addie are living in Cincinnati with their son Carter & daughter-in-law Adele) was taken May 7, 1940. As of April 1, 1935, Sam and Addie were living in Lexington, KY.

According to the 1910 and 1930 U.S. Census records, both of Sam's parents were born in Kentucky.

According to the 1920 U.S. Census, Sam's father was born in Tennessee (clearly Tennessee in the handwritten document, mis-transcribed as Kentucky in the typed version), and his mother was born in Illinois.

According to the marriage certificate of Sam B. Page and Addie Wallace, on file in the County Archives of Marshall County, KY, Sam's father was from Montgomery County, Tennessee, and his mother was from Illinois.

Both of Addie's parents were from Trigg County, KY. No names of parents are given, as there was no permission slip signed (they were both of age, and the minister's family witnessed their marriage.)

The marriage of Sam B. Page and Addie Wallace, on 3/27/1901, was witnessed by: his wife, Amanda E. Holland, and 3 of his 4 children: Lillie Holland, William T. Holland, Lilah Holland; and was celebrated by William M. Holland, M. G. (Minister of the Gospel) at the minister's house, by the gate.

In this 1900 U.S. Census is the Holland family, who witnessed and celebrated the marriage of Sam and Addie the following year in 1901: https://familysearch.org/ark:/61903/1:1:M9HC-91G. On the bottom of this page and the top of the following page, Samuel Page is shown living with the Swihart family.
