About Samuel Parkes
http://is.gd/trlnbc Hawera & Normanby Star, Volume XLI, 4 November 1921, Page 7
SEQUAH.
Sequah, who since his first appearance in Hawera has. continued to draw large crowds, had an even, larger audience than usual last evening. About a quarter of an hour was spent in dental work, and though a large number of patients were relieved of troublesome teeth during that time fifteen or twenty people "remained in the queue when-the time allowed for the extractions had expired. The others will be attended to to-night. Sequah's skill was, later exercised.on a patient who had been suffering from rheumatism, Mr Samuel Parkes, of Vogel street, Hawera, who came to the meeting leaning heavily on a. stick. The treatment was quite as effective in this as in former cases, ancLMr. Parkes left the building, to all appearances, completely cured. The lectures and demonstrations will be continued to-night, when there will no doubt be a large attendance of the public.
